Baking, kitchen appliances
@Julia_Schmeer I must admit that the KitchenAid has its drawbacks though. It struggles with dough that’s too hard, and it starts up pretty abruptly, so if you’re not careful you get an eruption of flour :D

@Julia_Schmeer @toni also, I don’t know about the other brands, but KitchenAids are electrically and mechanically very simple, so they’re easy to fix with just a few tools and cheap spare parts.
In fact, it’s very easy to get a „broken“ KitchenAid for a lot less than full retail price, and they almost always break in one way: A 5€ gear that’s designed to break in case of too-high load, which took me about 2h to change (with no practice).

@Julia_Schmeer @toni what model of Kitchenaid is it? Ours used to feel a bit wobbly, but tightening just a single screw fixed that completely.
Did YOU know https://3d.xkcd.com/ was a thing?
I sure didn’t!
Trying out custom-printed minky on the tiny dragons. What better for an alignment test than tiger stripes? Came out almost perfect (one foreleg and the forehead are just a smidge off), so I dialed the neon color down a bit and placed another order with more designs.
It is *really* nice to be able to draft a pattern in Inkscape, create the fabric design to match it in Inkscape, and create the computer-controlled sewing file... in Inkscape.
So, I went on a trip to Portugal, and took pretty pictures. Enjoy!
